NL Welding and Fabrication does general fabrication and custom welding from Nairne in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We weld mild steel with MIG and stick, and stainless and aluminium with TIG. Farmers, small businesses and anyone who needs a welding job done are all welcome.
You do not need a drawing. Tell us the problem you are trying to solve. One local customer needed cardboard boxes kept up off a wet floor, so we made a stainless stand. Another needed a bracket to carry a new diff housing on a car's rear cradle, so we welded one on and painted it.

Not with a normal weld. The two metals melt at very different temperatures and form a brittle join. Bolts, rivets or special transition pieces are the usual way to join them.
Yes, with the right filler. Type 309 filler is made for joining stainless to mild steel.
Yes. We TIG weld aluminium. Aluminium welds well when the surface oxide is cleaned off first, though some high-strength alloys are prone to cracking.
It depends on the job. What changes the cost is how complex the job is, the metal, the time on site, the travel, and whether it is urgent or after hours.
